The new Terminal 2 of Kempegowda airport Bangalore is a visual treat. Its a tribute to the garden city. Hanging gardens, indoor gardens, waterfalls etc gives a majestic look. The food lounge is crafted with reeds, bamboo and wooden structures. But very few shops and restaurants have started functioning. Sadly the zero eight zero lounge is restricted to IDFC and AU card holders.

Arrival experience was great. Being a new terminal it’s spanky neat and Clean. Bright interiors and shinning new equipments The toilets were fitted with sensor controlled tap with both sides are Dyson air dryer so it’s easy to wash your hands and get them dried there. Nice innovation indeed! However it is not waterless unlike Mumbai airport. Conveyor belt was spacious and lots of trolleys were available for passengers The arrival area is bit congested which could have been better The terminal work is not complete so not many Shops The parking area is also not fully ready Overall a great experience to travelers

One of better airports in India with clean toilets, ample eat outs, shops, faster immigration, faster baggage clearance.. friendly airport staffs… clear sign boards for taxi & pick points… it is truly face of new India. If you want transit point to South India this airport is highly recommended..

India’s 3 busiest airports. The best lounge in India in any domestic terminal. Huge terminals and interiors are great especially in International airport. The ground staff are very warm and friendly. The attitude made our check in process quite a pleasant experience. Good variety of eateries, very well maintained, clean toilets, cab booking counter available just before exit & complementary terminal transfer bus available from outside. The overall arrival experience was awesome.

My first experience at Terminal 2 Bengaluru was truly amazing, reminiscent of Singapore’s Changi Airport in certain aspects. The airport exudes a luxurious resort vibe, immediately putting your mind at ease upon entry. From the mesmerizing drop lights to the stunning flooring and the abundance of greenery, it offers a calming atmosphere. Moreover, the wide array of food options caters to every palate, making it a complete package for travelers.

Navigating the Hurdle

Airport security checks are the slowest in the world. Overstaffed but untrained and / or inefficient. At least 30 minutes to get through security despite the number of staff and machines.

A Trying Departure

Coming in, it was fine. Leaving? An hour and a half in the security line, 50% of bags being HAND CHECKED by security officer. The rest of the security officers were just sitting there, kicking back with their shoes off, doing nothing. Not to mention I wasn’t feeling well and not a single employee at the airport tried to help me find a place to be sick. Thank god for other kind passengers who came to my rescue.

In Need of Improvement

If you’re in international transfer be aware that the airport doesn’t have any proper facilities and the concept of hospitality doesn’t exist. After a long and exhausting flight, we had to lay on the floor for 3 hrs. No change to get water a coffee or even going to the bathroom get ready for five security checks! They need to learn more about how to treat passengers…

A Plea for Respect and Fair Treatment

My recent experience at this airport was deeply distressing and disappointing. I felt violated, humiliated, and discriminated against during the security check. While other passengers were allowed to proceed without extra screening, I was subjected to an intrusive procedure all because of how I looked. The security personnel’s insistence on striping my clothes and their offensive and bullying behavior during the enquiry were unacceptable. Discrimination should have no place in an international airport, and I hope they take immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future.

Reality Check

Too much hype about nothing That’s how the new airport is. The ground staff are not very helpful from either the airlines or the security. Unnecessarily ask questions that beyond their business. I literally was asked by the security why did I have to have return ticket together. That’s my reason. Did I ask for any advice. Pathetic behaviour of even the airline staff. Being a female I was asked to remove belt that too in public. A lot of training and polishing is required. Right now the staff is absolutely raw and arrogant. Not to forget their are mosquitos to at the lounge and surrounding area.
